What a fantastic Wakes Week 2025, from start to finish with lots of great events!
The Main Well Dressing, depicting Haddon Hall, was magnificent drawing many admiring visitors. There were many decorated shops and houses, with scarecrows popping up all around the village. A new red building appears opposite the Horse and Jockey – the Moulin Rouge!! Congratulations to everyone involved in making the village colourful!
Then came Big Sat’dy and the Parade. It was the longest and most colourful for many years, entertaining the crowds with fancy dress and music!
The collection was up on last year, over £1,500.
Thank you to everyone from your Wakes Committee 2025 for your hard work and participation and we mention the Marshalls at all the events for keeping the village safe.
