We began our first Tai Chi sessions on a Monday evening in the New Year and we are now a flourishing and friendly group of enthusiasts. What we lack in expertise, we make up for in fun! We can follow our excellent tutor, Margaret Wood -and if we often get it wrong, we laugh a lot. Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise, based on ancient Chinese movements, and includes elements of mindfulness. It is excellent for folk of all ages (some of us with a few back and joint problems) – promoting balance and mobility, restfulness and relaxation. You don’t need any special gear – just comfy shoes and clothes. Beginners are very welcome – so come and join us (£6 per session) – 6.15pm, Mondays, St. John’s Institute.
