Gardening at the Food festival

With daffodils, crocuses, primroses and long sunnier days, Spring has finally arrived and Tideswell Food Festival is not far away!

On 30 April Tideswell Kitchen Garden will be hosting a variety of activities. Our friendly gardeners will show you round the garden and tell you about what we will be growing this year. You can even do some gardening yourself if you fancy – everything you need will be there at hand. You will also be able to plant a seed in pot to take away and nurture at home, buy young vegetable and flower plants for your own garden or allotment, and be entertained by Tideswell Singers.

If you fill in the quiz in the Village Voice and bring it to the garden on the day of the Food Festival, you will receive a prize– and if you manage to solve all of the anagrams, you will also be entered in a PRIZE DRAW to win some kitchen garden plants.

Don’t forget that you can find us in the garden at 10 am on the first Saturday of every month, when we meet to have a look at what needs doing each month together. We also pop down to the garden when we find time individually, or in smaller groups, during the rest of the month. We welcome all ages and abilities, and no gardening experience is required. Best of all, if you help out, you are free to help yourself! For more news, join the ‘Tideswell Kitchen Garden’ group on Facebook.
