Eight Women (cert 15) 103mins – Friday 11th March

Director François Ozon brings together many of France’s most celebrated actresses for this murder mystery musical set in the 1950s. Think classic Agatha Christie plot, set in a house in the French countryside with no communication with the outside world, enough snow to prevent anyone from coming or going, a corpse and eight women – all with a motive for murder. Throw in an all singing, all dancing number for each of the women including Catherine Deneuve, Fanny Ardent and Isabelle Huppert and a most satisfying twist of the plot right at the end – it’s a quirky, fun, French film. Doors open 7.30 for 8pm, the bar will be open for refreshments before and after the film and as ever, there’s a warm welcome for old and new members and guests. Guest tickets available at £5-00 per film for adults and £3 for kids.
