December film in Cressbrook

The Blues Brothers (cert 15, 142 mins)

Yippee, a great comedy classic which comes packed with car chases, music and cameo appearances from Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway and James Brown. Blues Brothers Jake and Elwood (John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd) have sold their souls to rhythm ‘n blues but when they stage a fund-raising gig everyone else is against them – including a bunch of Country and Western rednecks, an angry chapter of neo-Nazi thugs and the massed ranks of the Chicago police force. Great fun film.

As fans know we have a wide cinema screen, high quality sound, really comfy seats, doors open 7.30 for 8pm and the bar will be open for refreshments before and after the film. Membership of Cressbrook Film Club is £20 for the whole season with guest tickets available at £5-00 per film for adults and £3 for kids.
