We’ve done it! With the support of the local community, Tideswell Parish Council and Tideswell Community Association along with grants from Garfield Weston Foundation and the National Lottery we have purchased the freehold of the land on which the Community Hall is built. We have purchased this from Derbyshire County Council and the paperwork was completed late last year securing the long-term future of the Hall for the benefit of the village and surrounding area. The Committee and Trustees have worked hard for this outcome and we are proud of the achievement.
Our next plan is to install solar panels to create some of the energy that we need to power the air source heat pump which heats the hall and reduce our carbon footprint further.
The hall is available for classes, events, village festivities and for private lettings. If you are interested in what is happening at the hall or hiring it as a venue please visit our web site https://tideswellcommunityhall.org.uk/ to find out more about the regular classes and events, availability, hire costs and hire terms. If there is anything you would like to get in touch with us about regarding the Hall or if you wish to join the committee or get actively involved, we would love to hear from you.
