Did you know that these can have a new life in the poorest countries in the world.? You can leave them at Tideswell Pharmacy where Lions will collect them and send them onto a clearing centre. If there is any gold or valuable material on them it is removed and sold – these funds go into a Lions fund which can be accessed by any UK club to make donations to sight related charities (i.e. talking newspapers). After this they go, via France, to sub sahara Africa for distribution. This scheme is organised by Lion’s clubs worldwide – Just from this area many thousands have been sent to where help is needed. As you can imagine your donations are greatly appreciated.”
