We have now been running in excess of 30 years and have between 35 and 45 people attend each meeting. We meet in the Institute behind the St John’s Church on the second Thursday of the month, commencing on 8th November 2018 until 11th April 2019. Talks start at 8.00pm and are usually about 1 hour long, followed by tea/coffee and biscuits. Our talks this season are:- *8th November 2018*: David Templeman giving his second instalment on Mary Queen of Scots. Titled “The Road to Fotheringhay”. *13th Dec*: Members Quiz and Party Night. *10th Jan 2019*: Ellen Outram “The Bronte Connection”. *14th Feb*: Bill Whitehouse “Cave Rescue in Derbyshire”. *14th March*: David Hallen from the Brindley Museum in Leek. “James Brindley Millwright and Canal Builder”. *11th Apri**l*: Tim Knevel “Peak in the Past 20th century 30s 40s and 50s”. *In May* we have an outside trip to a place of interest.
Membership is £10.00 annually, or a visitor’s charge of £2.50 for each meeting. Please come along, everyone welcome.
