First Film of Season in Cressbrook

Friday 12th October 2018 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri (cert 15, 115 mins) Award-winning actress Frances McDormand (Fargo) delivers a stunningly powerful performance in this stylish black comedy-drama that has been hailed as one of the year’s best films.

A murdered girl’s defiant mother Mildred Hayes (McDormand) rents three ancient billboards and boldly paints them with a controversial message denouncing the town’s revered chief of police Sheriff Willoughby (Woody Harrelson). This ignites a furious battle with Willoughby’s deputy – a volatile, racist cop, Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell). Directed by Martin McDonagh.

As fans know we have a wide cinema screen, high-quality sound, comfy seats, doors open 7.30 for 8 pm and the bar will be open for refreshments before and after the film.
