Brian Hopkins

Audrey and family have been overwhelmed with all of the cards, expressions of sympathy and donations in Brian’s memory to the Parish Church Restoration Fund. We are very grateful and humbled by the comments and shared memories that have been passed on.

Thank you to Dr Shell, Dr Parry and the district nurses, and especially to the Valley Care team for their care of Brian in the last weeks of his life, which enabled him to remain at home with his family.

Thank you to Tideswell Band who played at the funeral at Brian’s request, to the Masons who formed a guard of honour,

to Simon and Gillian White for putting together a lovely service, to Lynne for the beautiful flowers, and to Tom at Noutch’s for his care and advice.

Brian was a man of the community; his stature and presence together with his good humour made him well known and well loved in and around Tideswell.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
