Our annual open show for all things veggie & flowery & bakery will be on Saturday, 1 September, at the St. John’s Institute. So everyone needs to get growing & jamming & baking & laying (just the hens for that last one). This is a small & friendly – but very colourful & noisy – show.
It’s not just for allotment folk – anyone can enter. There are lots of different classes, including some fun ones for children. The full schedule and entry forms can be found on our web site (www.tideswellallotments.org.uk/show.html) and will be available from local shops nearer the date. The photo theme this year is “Fields of Poppies”. There are pictures from last year’s show on our website too ….you may be inspired! Even if you don’t enter, the displays are colourful and impressive. There will be a raffle and refreshments available throughout the day. In addition, a lot of the produce, from prize winning marrows to a first class cake will be up for sale for donations at the end of the show.
