Unless you have been asleep for the last couple of months, most of you will know that my wonderful daughter Holly (Tideswell Wakes Queen) has been raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research in memory of her gran Val Gaffney, by very bravely shaving off her lovely long hair on the last Sunday of wakes week. I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped Holly in her fund raising, from family to friends to hairdressers and photographers (you know who you are). Above all I would like to thank each and every one of you who donated to this worthy cause, no matter how big or small, and helped Holly to raise, up to now, a fantastic £2500, which we hope will go a little way to battling this disease. In addition to this Holly has donated her lovely locks to the Little Princess Trust who produce wigs for young cancer sufferers who have lost their hair through treatment. Thank you once again.
Alan Gaffney.
