An open-air concert with one of the world’s greatest dramatic tenors, Jonas Kaufmann, will be beamed live to Tideswell Cinema, upstairs at the George Inn, on Thursday Aug 30 at 7.15pm.
The award-winning German opera singer invites us to join him for ‘Under the Stars’, a spectacular summer concert at the Waldbűhne Amphitheatre in Berlin.
Kaufmann, dubbed by the Guardian as ‘the tenor with the golden voice and golden smile,’ will perform famous arias and timeless Italian songs from his album Dolce Vita.
Looking ahead, September is a bumper month at Tideswell Cinema with five live events and three films. The new live season starts with Julie, a modern version of Strindberg’s controversial 19th century play Miss Julie, from the National Theatre on Thur Sept 6 at 7pm.
The Jonas Kaufmann concert is £15 (£12.50 concessions) and Julie £10.
