The Parish Council are currently in the process of carrying out maintenance and improvement work at the cemetery. This is a very complicated process as there are permissions required to do any such work in certain parts of the cemetery.
We have completed a number of applications to begin the process.
The next step is for us to make contact with the family members of those buried in the cemetery which have sunken and damaged graves.
If you are a family member of any one buried in the cemetery and feel that the grave location has been effected by sunken ground and damaged old headstones, please contact Hannah Owen as soon as possible. (07738076902 or clerk@tideswellparishcouncil.co.uk ) to discuss the required work.
The ground at the cemetery is tricky to work with, however we are looking to make the best of the cemetery and create a peaceful and pleasant area. If you have any suggestions for the cemetery we would be pleased to hear them. Again please contact Hannah Owen.
