Live Theatre in Litton

Following its three-week run at the Edinburgh Festival A Monk’s Tale: Relics, Revolt & Reformation received great reviews. Damian Arnold of The Times wrote “A great deal of silliness makes for a hugely entertaining hour that revels in the absurdities of one of the biggest religious arguments in history.”, and Mark Lawson of The Guardian included it in his top five Edinburgh 2017 shows. It is now on a UK tour and is coming to Litton for one night only.

This show, written by award-winning writer James Cary, consists of fast-paced sketches and songs about popes, the printing press, St Peter, purgatory and a diet of worms, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the start of the reformation. Putting the wit into Wittenberg, this show is pure indulgence!

The performance is on 15th September 8.00pm at Christ Church Litton. Tickets, £12 (£10 for groups of 4 or more), are on sale from Litton Shop (01298 872881) or, if not sold out, on the door.
