On Thursday 26 January, Bishop Pursglove C of E Primary School hosted a hockey tournament, which was attended by many local schools including Baslow, Great Longstone and Bakewell Junior.
Bishop Pursglove had three teams, each team had 7 players with a mix of boys and girls. Every team did their very best; even though the weather was freezing, we all enjoyed it. Two of our teams got through to the semi-finals and we ended up going head to head. The game was very tense and the final score was 6-0 to our A team. Two teams were now defeated, but our remaining team was in the final against Baslow. The pressure was higher than ever, we were in it for the win and the other teams and parents supported us. We were very pleased to win 3-2. After the tournament, we were presented with a hockey trophy and certificates. It was an extremely fun afternoon and we cannot wait for the next sports competition.
