As another academic year is drawing to an end, all the children and staff at Bishop Pursglove School can be very proud of all of their success over the last 12 months. The fantastic performances on 12th and 13th July by the talented children of Key Stage 2 in their production of “Oink” were, therefore, a fitting Grand Finale to the year.
The story, based on the Three Little Pigs, was full of funny twists and puns galore mixed with nostalgic references to the likes of Allo Allo and a fine array of sound effects to demonstrate the effect of eating pig swill (as all the best school productions should). There was something for everyone to enjoy! With some excellent performances by soloist singers and leading actors, brilliantly supported by a cast that included all the children in Years 3 to 6, the audiences were treated to a great evening of theatre.
It was delightful to see all the children being given the opportunity to be involved in the show, giving it their all and enjoying their time on stage. Congratulations to the children and staff for all your hard work! Good luck and best wishes for the future to everyone who is leaving the school at the end of term, be that to go to “big school” or “the big smoke”!
Enjoy the well- earned summer break!
