Eighteen years ago we moved into Tideswell buying a house designed and built by Eric Heaf and built by local craftsmen. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge, Tim retired, then became a village postie among other part time jobs and Nicola retiring from nursing and now an assistant curate at New Mills.
Who can forget Tim’s 5 wicket haul for Tideswell as well as the occasional 50, thrilling five set encounters with Willis, Holden and Hawkins and the occasional league bowls victory.
Nicola will be priested at Derby Cathedral at 4pm Saturday June 25th and her first Holy Communion at St. Georges New Mills Parish church at 9:30 am on Sunday 26th. Any one who would like to attend either service would be most welcome. Nicola has tried commuting to New Mills for the last few months but we have now decided we are going to put our house up for sale (once our three intrepid explorer children have removed there worldly goods) so we could still be around till the end of the cricket season.
All the best to all our friends in Tideswell
Nicola and Tim Pepper
