The members held a party for Child Carers recently. We’re not allowed to show photos but all the children enjoyed a wonderful time. For most of these children, the respite from caring for a family member is a rare occasion. One little girl said she likes to go to school, because she can forget her worries while at school, and she hates the long summer holidays, when there is no escape.
The Soroptimists provided a fabulous meal, and entertainment. Each child was given a gift to take home at the end of the party.The Soroptimists work year round to provide help like this to vulnerable people, locally and internationally, and any new new members are welcome.
