CHAIRMAN/CHAIRWOMAN OF THE SPORTS ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE
Tideswell District Sports Association is a sub-committee of Tideswell Community Association, which has charitable status. The office of Chairman/Chairwoman is a voluntary office; the Committee meets on a bi-monthly basis, on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 7 pm in the Sports Pavilion. The Committee comprises representatives of the sports clubs and other participating bodies, and meetings last for a maximum of 2 hours.
No formal qualifications or a sporting background are required, just a willingness
- to manage meetings and provide the energy and focus to drive the Association forward,
- help to look for ways to involve the whole community, and to get more people involved in sport,
- to keep the Association on a sound financial footing,
- to direct the Committee.

Do you have experience of
- book-keeping, handling cash, payment of invoices, banking;
- making bookings, perhaps opening and closing Pavilion as required, negotiating contracts for fuels etc., overseeing and arranging maintenance;
- attending meetings on a bi-monthly basis, 7 pm, 3rd Thursday of the month, and presenting the financial position.
