Try your hand at gardening! Fancy learning about vegetable and herb growing along with the rest of the Friends of Taste Tideswell Group? We have restarted monthly garden meet-ups so it’s easy to join in. Tideswell Kitchen Garden is located behind St John’s Church Institute, to the right of Tideswell Pre-School. You can find us in the garden at 10 am on the first Saturday of every month. We meet to have a look at what needs doing each month together. We also pop down to the garden when we find time individually, or in smaller groups, during the rest of the month.
We welcome all ages and abilities, and no gardening experience is required. If you help out, you are free to help yourself to any produce that is grown. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have lots of time to give. We just want the garden to belong to the community.
The next meet-up is at 10 am on Saturday 5 March, and we’d love you to come along. At 11 am we’ll also be having a chat about what we plan to do as part of Tideswell’s Food Festival on 30 April. Again, if you are interested in getting involved or finding out more, you are more than welcome.
