Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (cert PG, 106mins)
American Freddy Benson (Steve Martin) and Brit Lawrence Jamieson (Michael Caine) are con men who work the French Riviera – first as colleagues, later as rivals – praying on rich, gullible women before finally meeting their match. The film has an old-fashioned feel (no sex, violence or bad language) and owes much to the earlier period of Ealing comedies.
A stylish, charming, witty film with the dream team of Martin and Caine enjoying every minute they are both on screen. A laugh-out-loud-gem.
Doors open 7.30 for 8pm, the bar will be open for refreshments before and after the film and as ever, there’s a warm welcome for old and new members and guests. Guest tickets available at £5-00 per film for adults and £3 for kids.
