Litton’s Village Shop is having a bit of a face lift after Christmas, but before that happens it’s offering some seasonal things. Outside, the fairy lights will be going up soon. Inside, there’s a variety of stocking fillers, Christmas cards, Christmas decorations and wrapping paper. And on the counter there’ll be a range of seasonal treats like Florentines and mince pies. Where Christmas gifts are concerned, have a look at the new Local Writers section. There are poetry books, novels and biographies all written by Derbyshire folk. The not-for-profit shop, run by volunteers, is open from 8.30 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
And of course there is, in the shop, the POST OFFICE for Christmas stamps and parcel post. Did you know that NatWest customers can use the Post Office for their cash and banking requirements, along with almost all the other high street banks? We also supply euros on demand, and other currencies to order, and mobile phone top-ups. You can pay your utility bills, buy Health Lottery tickets or pick up leaflets for non-branch Post Office Ltd products. The Post Office is open on Monday afternoons (2pm-5pm) and Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9am – 12 noon)
