Play things for the infants at Bishop Pursglove School

Outdoor play is a wonderful learning experience for the little ones, it’s fun, it’s messy and they can really get involved in exploring their environment. There are lots of ideas for outdoor activities for Class 1 and 2, some of them need resources.

Can we ask if you could very kindly spare or donate any of the following items please?

Gardening equipment:

· Ceramic/terracotta plant pots
· Trugs
· Large plastic storage boxes,
· Bulbs for planting,
· Compost.

General outdoor play things:

· Pulses, rice, pasta, sunflower seeds
· Bags of children’s play sand
· Shaving foam, bottles of bubbles, bottles of shampoo
· Ribbons for weaving into the fence
· Empty yogurt pots
· Doll’s buggies
· Baby doll clothes and accessories

If you have any of these things and can give them to school, please bring them in or call 871282 to arrange for them to be collected.

We would also like to ask for volunteers to hear the children read in class once a week.

If you could spare a little time once a week, and are happy to have a CRB check, please could you let us know at school on 871282.

Very many thanks,

Amy Mallender (Class 1 teacher), Ben Twelves (Class 2 teacher), Lynne Kilford (Headteacher), Helen Robinson (PTA).
