By the time you read this article most of you will hopefully have received or collected your copy of our book and dvd Tideswell Tales. As a small group, we have spent many hours working on this project and we are incredibly proud of what we have produced. Many of you have expressed how much your have enjoyed reading and listening to the memories, we thank you all very much indeed. Some of you have purchased extra copies to send to friends and family overseas, New Zealand, Canada and Cyprus being some of the destinations.
Copies are still available at Peak Volumes and at £5 for the book and £4 for the d.v.d. – they make ideal presents.
History Box News.
The Association for Heritage Interpretation have announced that our village History Box (aka the old telephone kiosk) has been shortlisted for the award in the Community Projects category. Results out in autumn, fingers crossed.
The next item on our agenda is to erect some display boards in Bank Square Gardens early next year. If you wish to contribute or help in any way, please contact us.
