Remarks

The most notable feature of the winter was the domination of winds with a westerly component. At 0900 only 6 days out of the 90 had winds with an easterly component. Despite the westerly domination rainfall was only a little above average. Snowfall was also a little above average, particularly the amount of lying snow. It was sunnier than average but not as sunny as the 2013/14 and 2012/13 winters.
