Despite a 7-day sunless spell from 10th till 16th the sunshine total ended up bang on the average. The snow statistics were interesting. In terms of the number of days with snow falling it was a lot less snowy than average. In terms of the number of days with 50% or more snow cover it was just about average. In terms of the accumulated depth of snow lying it was much more snowy than average. Almost all of the snow lying during February actually fell at the end of January.
