Parish Council Matters
The Parish Council met in the Institute for the February and the March meetings. We will share the room with the Chruch and the Village Voice will continue to be printed there.
Our new Parish Clerk is Hannah Owen, and we wish her well in her new post.
Hannah will have a new email address for the Tideswell Parish Council, and details will follow shortly.
The office in the Institute will be equipped soon. Hannah will work from the office, and be available for residents to meet with.
Grit bins have been ordered and one has arrived to replace the broken bin on Parke Road… unfortunately… it was broken in transit! Various Highways matters were discussed once more, but it appears that the Derbyshire County Council has a non response policy!
The Council has chosen the winners of the 2015 Community Awards. The under 25’s and the over 25’s winners will be announced at the Star Inn, 7.00pm on Tuesday 31st March. If anyone would like to come, please phone Sue Barber on 01298 871644.Tickets cost £5 each and include the cost of chilli and chips.
At the March meeting the arrangements for the forthcoming elections were discussed. There are 10 seats on the Tideswell Parish Council, and nominations must be made through the Derbyshire Dales District Council Returning Officer. Details are available form DDDC on line. Any resident of Tideswell over the age of 21yrs is elible to stand.
The next meeting of the Council will be held in the Institute on Monday 13th April at 7.30pm. As ever, we welcome members of the public to attend, for all or part of the meeting.
