Come along and see ‘The Selfish Giant’ on Thursday 26th March, our cinema choice for this month. All are welcome – for £4.75 you become a guest member for the evening.
This film stars two phenomenal young lead actors as two boys who are excluded from school and become outsiders in their own neighbourhood. Set in modern-day Bradford, it is a poignant reworking of Oscar Wilde’s tale, and is described as “a starkly emotional and lyrical portrait of young rebellion in England’s green and wasted land”.
The film starts at 7.30pm, upstairs at the George Inn. The landlord will be happy to serve meals before the screening.
