T’ai Chi is a gentle form of exercise which can provide many health benefits.
T’ai Chi is a series of slow, gradual movements which gently exercise all the muscles and open up circulation of the blood and chi to help maintain and repair the muscles, discs and bones.
Qigong is more about relaxation and breathing, this can help to reduce tension and stress, at home and at work.
Both T’ai chi and Qigong have been found helpful for people suffering from a variety of health conditions including breathing difficulties, arthritis, high blood pressure and back problems.
T’ai Chi and Qigong are suitable for men and women of all ages, abilities and levels of fitness.
T’ai Chi is a recommended form of exercise for older people to help them with balance and confidence. Our group is supported by the NHS which means we can run our own subsidised sessions for older people using an accredited instructor.
Our class meets at Fountain Square Church Hall, Wednesday 11.30 – 12.30.
