Thanks from the heart

Could I express my deep hearted gratitude to the local First Responder and to the emergency services whose prompt action on Wakes night undoubtedly saved my life.

Whilst collecting my stepdaughter from Tideswell fair, I experienced a severe and intense pain in my left elbow. Unbeknownst to myself, I was in the first stage of a cardiac arrest. The community police team on duty at the fair exemplified calm professionalism and within minutes I was receiving medical attention from the Community First Responder. Within a short while, I was transferred by a Buxton ambulance crew to Sheffield Northern General Hospital and a stent was inserted into the collapsed cardiac artery that same evening.

I have been unable to thank each of the individuals personally, but would like publicly to acknowledge the tremendous professionalism, expertise and teamwork demonstrated by our local emergency services and NHS on Wakes night.
