By the time you read this the actual live broadcast of the acclaimed Last Night of the Pythons from London’s O2 will be dead, defunct, deceased as the proverbial parrot – BUT hurrah, the Pythons live again, there’s an ENCORE – 7pm, Thursday August 7th. Coming up in early September is a double treat for theatre-lovers – live broadcasts of Two Gentlemen of Verona from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford, on Wed Sept 3rd and Medea from the National Theatre on Thur Sept 4th. Both at 7pm, tickets £10 each.
So that’s Shakespearean romantic comedy and the most gripping Greek tragedy you can ever hope to see – Helen McCrory is magnificent as Medea – British acting at its very best, and it’s in modern language. Don’t say we don’t spoil you!
