Litton Parish Matters

This is a quiet time of the year for the Parish Council. There is no meeting in August and the next meeting is in September when we will pick up the new work programme and start on those things which you asked us to do at the Annual Parish Meeting. There is obviously preparatory work to be done for September but that is very much back-room homework !

It may be a quiet period for the Council but for many people in the villages it is a busy few months as volunteers get together to run the highly successful Wakes events and the Council extends a very big thank you to all those involved. This year there was the bonus of the Litton World War 1 Weekend which is reported on elsewhere in this edition, and the Council would wish to extend a very warm thank you to all those involved and especially to the Planning Committee chaired by Mike Renger.

The school term is ending and I am sure many of you will be looking forward to a summer break. I wish you good weather and whatever you do, an enjoyable time.
