Medical Dogs

On May 19th the High Peak Diabetic self help group held a slide show and talk which was given by Nicola from Medical Detection Dogs. A raffle and donation raised £106 for the charity which helps people with a range of ailments. Members were particularly interested in the Medical Alert dogs which are trained to help people with Type one diabetes, to make them and others aware when the individual is becoming hypoglycaemic.

Meetings are held at the Buckingham Hotel, Buxton at 7.00pm on the third Monday of each month. For more information, phone Hon. Sec Sue Barber on 01298 871644 between 9.00am and 6.00pm to leave a message.
