The severe wet winter weather has caused extensive damage to the county’s roads. The County Councils taking action to mend as many potholes as quickly as possible – their road workers and external contractors are working extra hours to help fix the backlog.
So far this year they have had 7,600 reports about potholes compared to 5,200 during the same period last year.
