Miller’s Dale & District WI’s February meeting welcomed Sally Shaw whose talk was entitled ‘Something from Nothing’. Sally makes costumes for several Amateur Dramatic Societies, who never have much money for costumes. She brought lots of her costumes and explained how she had managed to create them. Sally uses Charity Shops and “anything that looks good”. We all thoroughly enjoyed her talk.
We will be running a ‘Plant Stall’ at our May ‘Resolution’ meeting. The July outing to Shardlow has been confirmed. The next meeting is on 12th March at 7.30pm at our usual venue – Litton Village Hall. The Speaker is Paul Fletcher; his talk is on ‘Walking from Derby to London’.
