Miller’s Dale and District WI met Wednesday 8th May in Litton Village Hall. We discussed The Resolution for the AGM. The National Federation’s notes with concern the continuing decline of our High Streets and the damaging effect this has had on local communities. We call on every member of the WI to support their local shops and make the high street their destination of choice for goods and services. All members agreed, adding that accessibility and better parking would help.
This was followed by a Lovely Floral Arrangement Demonstration by Julia Walker and then all members had a go with amazing results!
The next meeting will be held in Litton Village Hall Wednesday 12th June 7 30 p.m. The speaker will be Mr Peter Wild talking about The Chesterfield Canal. New members are always welcome , please contact the president Mrs Judy Cooper 01298 871191.
