Tideswell Singers are celebrating after a fantastic day of singing on 20th April, when over a hundred enthusiastic singers joined them to âSing through the Centuriesâ in our magnificent Cathedral of the Peak. It was very special to sing English Church music covering four centuries in a building that has changed very little since it was first heard.
We thank the church community for the support they give us in hosting such events.
We must also thank Elaine Kearney and her helpers from the Cubs and Scouts who provided refreshments through the day and also raised £300 to add to their fund of over £1,000 to support Olympic Mogul skier, Ellie Koyander.
You can hear some of those pieces again when we share a concert with Tideswell Community Players at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday 26 June in Tideswell Parish Church during Wakes week.
Other chances to hear us in true community spirit will be on Wednesday 19 June 7:30 p.m. at St Hugh’s Parish Church Foolow to celebrate the recent refurbishing of the church and Wednesday 17 July at 7:30 p.m. in Taddington.
