Great Longstone website publisher Let’s Stay Peak District is a Corporate Partner of the CPRE charity Friends of the Peak District and provided the inspiration for their annual walk, taking place this year on Saturday April 13th 2013 from magnificent Thornbridge Hall.
Offering a choice of 2 great walks (8 and 24 miles) the entry fee for each is £13.50 (£6 for under 16s) to include light refreshments and discounts on various Peak District related goodies. This has proved to be a very popular walk in the last 2 years and makes an ideal half or full day’s hike for a group of friends, families or colleagues; all for an excellent cause too. Friends of the Peak District is an independent charity set up to fight inappropriate development in the Peak District thus protecting its unique landscapes for future generations.
