It has been drawn to my attention that this is not only important in public places, on our lanes and footpaths, but also on land where cattle or sheep may graze. There are two nasty parasites which may be transmitted through dogs’ faeces: one causes Neosporosis in cattle and results in calves being aborted, and the other causes Sarcocytosis in sheep (a neurological disease resulting in death). Even if you are on agricultural land, please pick up your dog’s waste.
