Our thanks go to those whom we have interviewed during the past month. Again we have recorded some wonderful memories which are being transcribed by our hard working team. You will shortly be able to listen to some at www.soundcloud.com/tideswelltales.
One of the main topics we discussed at our last month’s meeting was the ‘Telephone Kiosk’ which we adopted last year. Before we can install any equipment the kiosk needs a ‘Face Lift’ so we would like to ask all local handymen/painters to give us a quote for some maintenance and painting. Call Paul on 01298 872285 or Gill on 01298 871900 to discuss our needs. The kiosk will become a ‘MEMORY BOX’ and we would like to incorporate a poem on one of the side of the box. We therefore invite anybody from any age group to enter a competition to write one. The winner will be invited to the unveiling ceremony. Put your entries in an envelope and post through letter-box at 16 Church St. The poem should be associated to a memory and our village. We would still like to see some more locals getting involved in our forthcoming performance, so come on all you budding actors and story tellers, get in touch and help us produce something really exciting for Wakes Week. And finally, March has arrived and we are officially one year old. We have achieved a lot over the last twelve months and it’s mainly thanks to you and your contributions. Let’s all keep up the good work and see this project grow.
