The Charity Christmas card shop was taking place at St John’s church, Buxton and the takings will be passed on to the various charities soon. Joint presidents Dianne Doughty and Judith Pickering also gave a report on the Midlands Regional meeting , during which our own Past President Elaine McDonald was installed as Region President Elect .
The Buxton Soroptimists meet at the Old Hall Hotel, Buxton twice a month and new members are always welcome.
Soroptimist means “the best of sisters” and the organisation exists for the betterment of women worldwide, and the improvement in human rights for all.
Along the way, we enjoy social events and fellowship with other like-minded women.
