The Tideswell Carnival 28.6.25
The carnival was a roaring success for the school this year as we won ‘Best Walking Group’ category in the parade. The theme was ‘Save the Planet’ and we all dressed up as endangered species and carried banners. Thank you so much for the support of all the families and staff who dressed up and joined us on this fun day!
The School Library
Behind the scenes this term, hard work has been going on to relocate the library in school. It is now a bright and spacious room (located in the old computer suite) that has plenty of space for a class to read together. Reading is the core skill in the Primary Curriculum and if we value our books and provide our pupils with an inspiring room to read in, it will support their reading for pleasure. We look forward to sharing more library news next year. Thank you to all the staff who have moved books and furniture to create this new space.
The Summer Fair
Our school is blessed with a fabulous Friends of School group; they arranged the most fabulous summer fair. The fair featured May Pole dancing, a brass band, a fire engine, bouncy castle, face painting, extraordinary insects and many amazing stalls. We would like to thank all our local sponsors as we raised an amazing £3,000, despite the torrential rain that day.
Thank you, Fiona Hall (head of school)
