News from Tideswell Community Managed Library

Please make a note of the following library ‘drop-in’ sessions  by PCSO Boswell.
Saturday 13th September
Saturday 11th. October
Saturday 8th November
All sessions take place from 10:00 until 11:00 and provide an opportunity for local people to raise policing issues which concern them. PCSO Boswell will provide a separate space for the raising of confidential concerns.
It is not too late to register for the Summer Reading Challenge to encourage individuals of school age to develop their reading skills and reading enjoyment. Drop in to the library to do this. The library also has some excellent printed resources to add interest to journeys via local public transport.
If you are unable  to make your way to the library we have contact for a free home delivery service. There is no need to have access to a computer (although phone contact would be very useful) . Steve, the Matlock Book Man , will arrange to  deliver and collect books selected by you. There is no contract and no charge for this service. Contact the library during opening hours to set up the arrangement.
RhymeTime continues 2:45 – 3:30 on Mondays. These sessions are for toddlers and the very young.  However, they provide an excellent opportunity for ‘networking’ by parents/carers.
Currently, we have a display and response sheets relating to possible enhancement of transport facilities in the Hope Valley. Please call in to the library if you are interested.
The Library has recently provided support for a student involved in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.  Please inquire if you have a similar request.
If you would like to volunteer to assist in running the library you can email or obtain information during opening hours.
