Tideswell Cinema

The star of Tideswell Cinema’s June film is a New Jersey bus driver (played by Adam Driver) who has a hidden talent for writing poetry. It is a ‘beguiling tale of everyday goodness’, as the simple life of Paterson is followed, during just one week. Written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, it received many nominations and won the Palm Dog Award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Peter Bradshaw writes “Slowly but surely the gentleness of Jim Jarmusch’s lovely new film steals up on you. It has an almost miraculous innocence”.
The film will be shown at 7.30pm on Thursday 29th June upstairs in the George Inn. Visitors are welcome – tickets cost £4. For a pre-show meal, please contact The George on 01298 872840.
