Joy Bramley who lives at Town Head has long been a supporter and volunteer for BlueBell Wood Children’s Hospice.She began helping as a Soroptimist, and has worked for the Hospice ever since. Tideswell people have been along to coffee mornings at Fountain Square Church which Joy has organised for the charity.Joy was chosen to represent the volunteers at an awards ceremony at Huddersfield University recently. She is too modest to accept the award on her own behalf. People say that they can always tell when Joy is in the room… she has an unmistakeable laugh. She has something caring to say at the dark times, and something amusing to say in happier times.
