Tideswell and District’s final figure for the Appeal is £3,448.95, yes £3,448.95, certainly the highest since I took over from Norman a few years ago. The figure was boosted by Howie Thurlby’s Quiz and the Somme Memorial Display in St John’s, but I just want to say ‘Thank You’, from Jayne McMillan and myself to all of you, in Tideswell, Cressbook, Litton, Great Hucklow and Wardlow Mire for having the poppies and tins, and all those people who bought wreaths.
In addition we had a wonderful conclusion to the Appeal on Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade. . A special thank-you to friends who helped with the counting, the Post Officee staff who check the totals and bank it, here and in Litton.
