The Festive Season is always a highlight in Tideswell Singers’ busy calendar. It is an opportunity for us to revisit familiar favourites and sometimes to embark on something new, as we are doing this year. We are delighted to be collaborating with members of St John’s church, Voice for Life Children’s Choir and a group of instrumentalists under the name of ‘Litton Occasionals’ in a performance of Navidad Nuestra (Our Nativity) by Ariel Ramirez. We are inviting you to join us and celebrate Christmas with a telling the story of of the nativity based on the rhythms and traditions of Latin America. The performance is at 6pm on Friday 9 December in St John’s church. For more traditional carol singing, come and hear us welcome walkers on the Helen’s Trust Lantern Walk at Thornbridge Hall, at 6:30pm Thursday 1 December, at Haddon Hall 12:00 Monday 5 December, in Litton Church Carol Service Friday 16 December and on occasions in local pubs!
Tideswell Singers meet every Wednesday at 7:30pm in Litton Village Hall (Litton Church every second Wednesday of the month). Do think about coming along to join this friendly, non-audition choir which is active in the community and sings music in a great variety of styles.
