High Peak Foodbank update

Thank you for all the support from the Tideswell area for local people in crisis who need help from High Peak Foodbank. We’re especially grateful during Harvest Season when the food we receive helps keepus going through the rest of year when we give out twice as much food as we receive.

Every year the ‘Grow Your Tenner’ campaign matches every £10 donated to charities through the Local Giving website. This year they will do it for donations made by direct debit forthree months. This means if you donate £10 a month for three months, the foodbank will receive £60. The scheme starts Oct 18 and will stop when the matched money is allocated. Log on to localgiving.org/highpeakfoodbank Oct 18.

There is a box at the back of St John’s Parish Church, Tideswell, for donations of non-perishable food or toiletries. This month we’d be grateful for UHT milk, toilet rolls, tinned vegetables, vacuum packed beetroot, tinned puddings (rice/custard), pasta sauce, tinned tomatoes and coffee.

For donations of fresh food, call 01298 214926 and bring to our HQ, United Reformed Church, Buxton, SK17 6PT. With best wishes and thanks for your continued support.
