First film of the season at CRESSBROOK FILM CLUB Friday 14th October 2016 “Hail, Caesar!” (cert12, 106 mins) A comedy drama from the Coen Brothers. Set in 1950s Hollywood when the studios were in their heyday, the story follows a day in the life of ‘fixer’ Ed Mannix (Josh Brolin) who has to retrieve famous actor Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) after he has been kidnapped – still in Roman costume – and held to ransom while filming the next big blockbuster ‘Hail, Caesar!’ Cast also includes Ralph Fiennes, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton.
As fans know we have a wide cinema screen, high quality sound, really comfy seats, doors open 7.30 for 8pm and the bar will be open for refreshments before and after the film. Membership of Cressbrook Film Club is £20 for the whole season with guest tickets available at £5-00 per film for adults and £3 for kids.
